Dr. Lin Zhu

Director of Accounting Regulatory Department

Dr. Lin Zhu is currently Director of Accounting Regulatory Department, Ministry of Finance of China. Dr. Zhu is in charge of monitoring the research and promotion of integrated reporting in China. As a project manager, she participates in the setting of Chinese accounting standards, their implementation assessment and plays a vital role in the convergence between Chinese accounting standards and International Financial Reporting Standards. She is also in charge of the international liaison for Accounting Regulatory Department with International Accounting Standards Boardand national standard setters and is deputy of Chinese Trustee to the International Financial Reporting Standards Foundation. Dr.Zhu Chaired the fair value measurement working group within Asia-Oceanian Standard-Setters Group (AOSSG) from 2010 to 2012. She worked as an international fellow for the FASB from 1997 to 1998. Dr. Zhu is an active speaker at various international accounting conferences, such as AOSSG annual meetings, UNCTAD Intergovernmental Working Group of Experts on International Standards of Accounting and Reporting meetings, and the meetings of Emerging Economies Group of the IASB. Dr. Zhu has a strong academic background in finance and accounting and holds aPh.D. in Accounting from Renmin University of China. She has published a dozen research papers in top academic journals in China.
