Tatsumi Yamada

Tatsumi Yamada

Tatsumi Yamada was one of the founding members of the International Accounting Standards Board (‘IASB’), on which he served between 2001 and 2011.  He started his career with Sumitomo Corporation in 1976, where he was mainly in charge of accounting control until 1993, when he joined the then-Japanese member firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers.

While with PwC, in 1995, he was appointed as a Japanese delegate to the Board of International Accounting Standards Committee, with which he served for six years. He currently is a partner with KPMG AZSA LLC in Japan, and Head of IFRS in KPMG’s Asia Pacific region.

Mr Yamada was appointed as a Trustee of the International Valuation Standards Council in October 2014.
